🐟 The Swordfish Fishermen — Bagnara
The luntri and felucche crews are among the last traditional swordfish hunters in the Mediterranean. Leave before dawn, return by noon. Watch from Marinella dock or ask at the port about boat days.

🏺 The Potters — Seminara
Some families have made ceramics for four or five generations. They don’t just make the diavolicchio — they make the objects that furnished every kitchen in this region for centuries. Most welcome visitors who show genuine interest.

🍷 The Winemakers — Costa Jonica
Family estates where vines are 40–60 years old. Not tourist wineries — working farms where the owner pours from an unlabelled bottle and talks for an hour about the soil.

🌿 The Mountain People — Aspromonte
